Lampscaping
Thoughts on lamps and lampshades are often tackled at the end of a decoration project, often when our design capacity has been exhausted. However we all know how important lighting is to a room and to the overall feel of a home. Choosing the correct sized lamp or lampshade can be surprisingly challenging and navigating the choice that is available is daunting.
Drawing on my many years experience in lamp and lampshade design I can help with advising the correct sizes (be it standard or more bespoke), choosing lampshade colours and patterns and sourcing lamps to meet your requirements both from my collection plus other suggestions too.
I look forward to hearing from you and working together, Rosi X
HOW TO LAMPSCAPE YOUR KITCHEN
As much as the choices we make about colour, the way we choose to light our homes is an expression of who we are. If that’s not pressure enough, lighting can also make or break the atmosphere of a room. Lighting, as we know instinctively, also impacts our moods and by extension our wellbeing.
HOW TO LAMPSCAPE YOUR SITTING ROOM
It’s a fine balance making this room feel homely and accessible while preserving its elegance and ensuring that this space, where your best bits of furniture and paintings are on display, doesn’t become scruffy through overuse.
One simple and inexpensive solution is to try lampscaping: the careful deployment of lighting to enhance beauty and atmosphere.
