‘Marbling arrived in Britain around 1750 from Europe. The old ‘Antique Spot’ patterns are some of the earliest designs and seem very well suited to modern day use in Rosi’s lovely Lampshades. I have been marbling for 40 years now and these old patterns are still my favourites. My daughters are now involved in making the papers with me, and so hopefully the tradition continues and flourishes.'
